Selling Tips
- Always add images to your ad when possible as it increase the likely-hood of people clicking on your product or service.
- The quality of the photos you use are very important. Try to use images with good lighting and light backgrounds. Images sitting on a white background look best. If your images are not the best, try touching them up in programs such as Photoshop.
- Try and add an image of the brand or your company logo when possible, it looks more professional.
- Group your products together and create your own online store
- When asked to fill in details about your product or service, try to use key words that best suit what you are selling. For example note brand names, model numbers etc. Anything that would be assicoted to the product in a search.
- When talking about your Ad try to make it as desirable as possible. Mention things such as Top Condition, Won't Find Better etc.
- Always double check for spelling mistakes as professionalism is a key factor in sales.
- Make sure you Ad title is direct as it is the first impression that the buyer will have.
- Make sure the details about your Ad are true. For example if it is second hand mention that in the Ad. Honesty is the best policy.
- Be careful and place your Ad in the right category so buyers can easy find it.
- If there is an enquiry about your Ad from a potential buyer act quickly. Interest fades with time. So if you recieve a message try to respond within 8 hrs. This highly increases your chance of a sale.
- If at all possible upgrade you Ad. Simple things like making you Ad bold ($3.50) or highlighted ($5.50) can increase your chance of a sale buy 40%-70%.
- If within your buget go for a featured listing. These Ads are more likely to be seen than any other Ad on the site, as they are listed above all other ads. This means they are seen first. You also get more exposure as you will be listed on the featured listing section, seen on the home page. You will be able to add more photos than a standard listing plus you also get to write more in your Ad to increse you chances in selling it.
